Indonesia’s biggest and longest film festival takes place in Jakarta every year with up to 63,000 people joining the action. Don’t miss 300 films from around 30 countries being screened over the ten-day Jakarta International Film Festival.
2008 marks the 10th edition and introduces the JIFFest Journey Exhibition where the festival’s promotional memorabilia from the past nine years is showcased. Other fringe events at the festival include the Indonesian Film Industry Exhibition, Film-Music in Concert (an orchestra performing on stage accompanied by the screening of a classic silent film), and Outdoor Cinema.
Screening venues for this year’s festival are announced on the festival website as soon as the details have been confirmed.
